Supporting Our Community Through Loss, Gratitude, and Resilience

To those who have lost loved ones, homes, or cherished belongings in the recent Los Angeles fires, please know you have our deepest sympathies. Your pain and loss are felt profoundly across our community, and we stand with you during this heartbreaking time.

We also want to express our immense gratitude to the firefighters, first responders, and public servants who have worked tirelessly to protect our neighborhoods. Your bravery and selflessness in the face of adversity are truly inspiring, and we cannot thank you enough for your dedication.

At the Employees Club of California, our mission has always been to honor and support public service employees—the backbone of our communities. During times of crisis, this mission becomes even more vital, and we are unwavering in our commitment to provide aid to those who need it most.

Here is how we are taking action right now:

  • Donating clothing from our web store warehouse to frontline and first responder employees.
  • Using our warehouse as a collection and distribution hub for essential supplies, such as face masks, hand sanitizers, food, and water, for frontline workers.
  • Through Club Angels, our nonprofit 501(c)(3), led by Arlene Herrero, MSLM, and our incredible team—Summy Lam, Guadalupe Lira, and Petros Khachatrian—we are providing grocery assistance to public service employees facing hardship.

If you or someone you know, who is a city, county, or state government employee, is in need of support, we encourage you to reach out to us. You can email us at help@employeesclub.com or call us at (800) 464-0452. If you know of an Employees Club of California member in need, please notify us. We are here to ensure no one in our community feels alone during this time.

To our members and the greater public service family—whether you serve at the city, county, or state level in California—you epitomize dedication and resilience. It is the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President & CEO. Together, through compassion and community, we can face this moment, help those in need, and rise stronger than before.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Robert Larios
President & CEO, Employees Club of California
